Trent was born and raised in Bluffton. After college and two years with a national accounting firm, he returned to Bluffton to practice accounting with HRC because of the excellence of the firm and the quality of life that Bluffton offers for raising a family. Trent became a partner in the firm in May 1996 and has served as managing partner since 2010.
Trent resides in Wells County with his wife, Kelli. Trent enjoys life with his four sons, their wives and seven grandchildren.

Community Involvement/Organizations: Treasurer of Wells County Chamber of Commerce, Wells County Food Bank and Bridge of Grace Compassionate Ministries dedicated to urban renewal in southeast Fort Wayne, Board of Directors for Christian Care Retirement Community. He is also a member of AICPA and Indiana CPA Society.
